Happiest. Baby. Ever.
We have a 1 year old in the house! It's hard to believe our baby is 1(as of 7.24).
We had more pool fun time with the boys. Neither were thrilled about going into the pool at first, but once they were in...they didn't want to come out. It's been hotter than blazes here-we have to cool off somehow
J had a lot of fun throwing rocks into the lake here in the AR
We celebrated C-man's big day up in the MSP. We opted for a small gathering this time around so as not to freak the bday boy out. Although, his anxiety is nowhere near what his big bro's was at this age. He loved the balloons, wasn't so sure of eating cake and was content as long as he had his big bro and lil blanky.
A lot more XOXO's all around between the boys. They love each other and still follow each other around the house. The other night J snuck outside, C found him and banged on the glass door until he came back inside
J had so much fun in MSP, between playing with his cousins, Aunties, Uncles, G-parents, the doggies...he laughed so much! G-pa Jimmy had him really going one day, laughing so hard-you can tell in the pic below
C is doing more things, he says mama, dada, baba, waves and says bye-bye, claps and says yaaaaay, plays and says peek a boo, shows us he is so big still.
Daddy loves playing baseball with J. I dunno, do you think he's ready to practice with the Twinners yet?
C is playing peek a boo below. He gets so excited! He's a happy guy and always so interested in his big bro. J has been so funny lately. We'll say something and he'll say, "don't say that word." A couple cute words he says are bizcuz (aka because), swimsoup (aka swimsuit)
It's fun having real conversations with him with real and full sentences. He is receiving good reviews at school and his enrichment teacher gave him a glowing review during his annual assessment. He'll be moving up to pre-school in a few days!
Bella caught a bird in the backyard the other morning, the 2nd bird she's caught in the past month. I was getting ready to head out to the airport, at 5:00am (yes, am, not pm). I let her out to do her thing and I see her pouncing around. The sprinklers were going off so I thought she was having fun in the sprinklers. I call her in through our bedroom door...she comes in and sets something on our floor...GASP!!!! I thought, what the heck is that fluttering around on the floor. A BIRD! I remain calm...ok, I fReAkEd out! Thankfully Ryan was awake (ok, I woke him up!) and he took the bird out. BELLA! I told her, no more birds bella, they are a lot smaller than you and it's not fair to them. No. more. birds.
