We went on (MUCH NEEDED) vacation! Ever since we planned the trip and we told the kiddos we were going, J said every day "I wanna go on vacation." It was really funny. We bought some new beach toys and J was so excited to use them. He would fill the bucket with water at home and then tell us the toys were for vacation and that he wanted to go. Both boys really enjoyed swimming in the pool (yes, even J) and going into the ocean. C kicked his little legs and squealed with excitement when the waves got his tooties. J loved walking in the ocean and picking up sea shells. He picked some out so that we could bring them home. He called the ocean a big bath tub and every morning would say that he wanted to go in the bath. At one point i was in the water with him and he was getting out and walking up the beach, so I started to follow. He turned around, raised his hands and said no, stay in the bath mommy. He came back after he got his bucket-funny, so bossy! Both boys traveled well. I thought the guy sitting next to me on the plane was going to steal C on our way home. He said that if his kids were as happy as C, then he would have had a million. He said that he is the happiest baby he has ever seen! I concur, he is a happy baby (thank the good lord) and we are convinced that he is the busiest baby in the world too, always moving-arms, legs, body, whatever he can move, he moves-he's even clapping his cute lil hands. This dude also said that we are going to have our hands full when he is older because of his blue eyes. And, another broad at the pool came up to us and said I know i am a stranger, but I will babysit your kids for you if you want to go in the pool together. We said thanks for the offer, but no, thanks. That was strange...yes?? Vacation is so much fun with the kids, we have to do it more often! I am sure we'll go again soon since J tells us every day that he wants to go back on vacation. He's the boss 'round here.
A side note-the other day when I was bringing the kids to school, we drove past some cows that were grazing, J let me know that they were eating cheese, that he wanted to give them a big hug and that they need to go in the bath (the lil pond that they wade in when it's hot out). How silly! And C knows the song, If you're happy and you know it clap your hands, he grins from ear to ear when he hears it and claps his hands at the right spot too. Amazing!!
