Until we meet again

June 19, 2000 - January 23, 2009
Forever missed, forever loved
Our baby girl Shaddow passed away peacefully in our arms today. While the sadness we feel is overwhelming, it is comforting to know that she is not suffering from her cancer anymore. Things fell apart for her in the last couple of days, she didn't even want to go for a walk or for a ride in the car. We miss her so much and i can barely see the keyboard in between my tears as I type this, but all of the fun memories that we have keep flooding back. Like the time when we moved to Texas and we were staying in the corporate apartment before moving into our house. I took Shaddow outside and she saw another doggy across the way. She decided to run after it, dragging me behind her. That's right, she was dragging me behind her and I could not get up. It just so happened that Ryan stepped out on the balcony and he saw the whole thing-we were both laughing hysterically. Shaddow got to the other puppy and decided to jump up on that owner and she, meaning the owner not Shaddow, looked like a rag doll-even more funny. Thank you for all of the memories Shaddow. We feel so empty without you and miss you SO much. Love you my girl.

Shaddow

It is with sad hearts and lots of tears as I type this, our beloved Shaddow was diagnosed with cancer today. We knew something was wrong when she had a drastic weight loss. She is down to 66 pounds, last month she was at 88. We only have 1 week to 2 months left with her as the cancer has spread so rapidly and is all over her liver. We are devastated and can't help but remember all of the fun times that we have had with her. We remember like it was yesterday picking her out at the humane society in Michigan, she was the only dog there that was not jumping and barking all over the place. We knew she was friendly because we stuck our hand in the kennel and she would give us kisses. Or the first time we took her to petsmart and she was terrified and she got down on the floor and we had to pick her up and carry her out. Or how afraid she was to walk up our stairs in our house in Michigan, only to get to the top and be scared to walk back down. She went from being afraid of everything to loving life! Everyone thinks that they have the best dog, but Shaddow truly is the best...for us anyway. We couldn't have asked for a better doggy to share 8 1/2 years of our lives with. She has been through so much with us, she is too young for this. Way too young. We wish that Jordan had more time with her, he loves her so much. We love you too Shaddow, more than you know...more than you know.

Lost keys?

We just got home and look G-pa, I found your keys!!
Do you want them back?_____________________________________________________________________________

We spent the weekend in Mpls and had a lot of fun seeing family and friends. Jordan is an expert traveler these days and is so good on the plane. We sure are lucky! He is a walking machine, he's all over the place and working on his running skills. Uh oh, we accidentally took G-pa's car keys home with us-OOPS! I hope we are invited back!!
J loves to laugh and wave at the fellow travelers on the plane
