Chicken Dance

Uncle Ryan and auntie Becky created a MONSTER! Last Easter, they got Jordan this chicken that sings and dances the chicken dance-my brothers all time favorite. J is so in love with this chicken right now and plays it over and over again and dances-it is so cute! he bounces up and down and sometimes swings his arms back and forth. I am trying to teach him how to do the actual chicken dance which I am sure he will catch onto one of these days. Too bad i don't have a good pic of this one...
Another thing, we got J this GINORMOUS teddy bear-I think it it bigger than I am! He loves it and crawls all over it. Shaddow loves it too and likes to nibble it's tooties. It is so big, J doesn't even notice Shaddow playing with it. Too funny!
Also, J's new thing is he hates to be changed into his jammies. He is much too busy to be tied down like that and wiggles and rolls around until he gets away. The other night I hear all of this laughing and squealing upstairs-yeah, we had a naked boy on the loose (J, not daddy) and he was loving every minute of it! He loves to play the "I'm gonna get you" game and will move as fast as lighting to get away from us and then we get him with tickles. I won't post the nude photos, but above is one of him getting away from daddy mid-jammy change time. The other night when the naked boy was on the loose he piddled on the floor (again-J, not daddy) and he thought it was sooo funny! So did I...
Jordan is SO close to walking. He stands all on his own and is so proud of himself. We are proud of you too buddy!! And feel better too please-gotta love cold season. Especially when J has the cold and wants to give us big wet kisses on the lips. The other night we were at Sam's club (wishing we had costco down here!!) and this lady was all about J's shopping cart cover. BTW, studies show that there is more fecal matter on shopping carts than public bathroom turlets-GROSS!!! Anyway, after she gave a thorough inspection of the cover, she took Jordan's paci out of his mouth and started poking him in the face. WHAT? Is that normal? Don't think so, I thought it was weird. So did the girl working at Sam's...so did J...and daddy. Hello lady, he is NOT a toy!

The Windy City

Jordan meets great grandma Ellie!!!! J also met Great Uncle Dave, Great Uncle Mike,Great Uncle Greg, Great Auntie Patty, Daddy's cousin Kelly and second cousin (I think that is how the cousin thing works, Kelly's daughter) Paige. He even "met" great G-pa John. Too bad he couldn't meet him in person. He had so much fun, except for bundling up in his winter coat, it was cold there! The best part, he showed NO ANXIETY!!! He was ready for Great G-ma E to hold and play with him. He loved it when Dave tickled him and would laugh and laugh. He really loved Paige, he couldn't get enough of her. We had a really nice time in Chicago, but could do without all those people-and the traffic...don't even get me started! We are happy that we don't have to deal with that down here in the boonies. We did get some shopping in, we just don't have shopping like that here. One of my new favorite stores is The Land of Nod-there is so much fun kid stuff there!! If we had that store here I think I would be in trouble! J did an excellent job on the plane, thank goodness for the world club and for first class-it would have made for long travel days if we didn't have that. I am not sure what we got more compliments on, J's big blue eyes or the wheel contraption that we attached to his car seat (one of the best inventions ever-for those who travel with toddlers, we highly recommend this!). Also, believe it or not, J has come to be very outgoing. He waved at everybody that passed by us at the airport or shopping, when people waved back at him he would blow kisses. Sometimes he blew the kisses from his eyeball, that was funny.
Thanks for the fun weekend, we can't wait to come back!

Kisses

Jordan just wanted to blow kisses to all of his lady friends out there. He LOVES to blow kisses and to give big wet real kisses too. He is also learning his sign language and can tell us "more" and "milk" or "food" - and is learning "all done" etc. He is so smart and so dang cute!!! He is really good at waving hi and bu-bye too. He waves to everyone, no matter where we are. People get a kick out of it. His top teeth are coming in, so that is not so much fun. But, he loves his electric toothbrush, that makes it feel a little better even if it is just for a moment. We have also discovered that he has quite the throwing arm on him-he may be a pitcher in the major league one day, you never know! Daddy hopes he is a lefty.
Also, it is no secret that J loves to climb up the stairs-he gets to the top and starts clapping! We were having a problem finding a gate that fits our staircase. We finally found one that kind of works... So, J was trying to figure out how to get around it. We got a good laugh out of that one!
Another thing, we all know that Jordan and Shaddow are pals. Well, this weekend, Shaddow decided to play with some of J's toys. She was chewing them, shaking them around, tossing them...Jordan was not pleased. He was pointing and crying. He was giving me the look like-aren't you gonna do something about this mommy??
MUAH! Umm mommy? Daddy? Anyone?
